Easterwood Cup - REALTOR of the Year
The year’s winner of the prestigious Easterwood Cup – REALTOR of the Year award, Howard Zielke, ASC Properties and current President of dfwREALTORS.com – MetroTex Association, is a demonstrated leader. Over many years he has displayed outstanding service to the Association. Through mentorship and volunteerism Howard has a recognized willingness to share his time and knowledge to the real estate industry and to the community by making an impact locally, regionally and around the state and nation.
As current President of the association Howard has shown true resolve and leadership to the membership of dfwREALTORS.com – MetroTex. Howard has given 110% to his work as association president in the face of what we all know are tough times in the real estate business.
The Colonel Wm. E. Easterwood Cup is the Association’s highest honor for a REALTOR member who is a Manager/Broker/Corporate Executive or Owner. It is presented annually in recognition of outstanding service to the real estate profession, the community, and dfwREALTORS.com - The MetroTex Association. Lois Hair Bernays - Salesperson of the Year
Steve Habgood, from the Hewitt-Habgood team at Keller Williams - Urban Dallas, as the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Lois Hair Bernays Award as the associations Salesperson of the Year.
Steve is currently director appointee to the North Texas Real Estate Information system and is deeply involved in Association directives. In 2010 Steve will serve on the dfwREALTORS.com - MetroTex Board of Directors and as chairman of the Association’s MLS Committee. As a leader in ‘GREEN’ real estate, Steve was instrumental in facilitating the adoption of a GREEN initiative in the MLS system to better identify GREEN features that benefit consumers buying and selling homes in the North Texas market.
The namesake of this prestigious award, Lois Hair Bernays, served the Association, her profession, and the community with exceptional enthusiasm. The award is the Association’s highest honor for a REALTOR member. It is presented annually to a residential REALTOR who exemplifies the highest qualities of the real estate profession.
Affiliate of the Year
Created in 1982, the dfwREALTORS.com - MetroTex Association Affiliate of the Year Award is presented to an outstanding Affiliate Member. This year’s winner, Pat Ezernack, owner of Texas ProStar Real Estate Inspections is well respected by his industry peers. Pat has shown loyalty to the real estate profession as well as to the greater community through years of volunteerism and a dedication to the Association.
As an industry veteran, Pat has shown his ability to work with various groups seamlessly and continually presents a willingness to stand forward when there is a need.
